WebP Studio is provided by Compani 56 AB. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the app or contact us for support.

Your images stay on your Mac

WebP Studio processes images locally on your device. Your images, filenames and image metadata are not uploaded to us or sent to our servers.

The app accesses the files and folders you choose to import or use for export. You remain in control of your original and exported files.

If you enable the option to keep image metadata, that information may be included in your exported files.

Data collection in the app

WebP Studio does not require an account and does not collect personal information or track your activity. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics services in the app.

Because we do not receive your images or other app data, we do not hold server-side copies to retain or delete. You can delete your local image files yourself.

Contacting support

If you contact us by email or through our support form, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address, message and any technical details or attachments you include.

We use this information to respond to your request and resolve problems, based on our legitimate interest in providing customer support. Our website hosting and email providers may process it on our behalf to deliver these services.

We retain support correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request and necessary follow-up, unless a longer period is required by law. We do not sell your information or use support messages for advertising.

Your rights and questions

Where applicable, you may request access to, correction or deletion of personal information provided through support, or object to or request restriction of its processing. Contact patrik@c56.se.

You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Sweden, this is Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
